Ayurvedic Home on the Islands

Hina Hale embraces the beauty of Hawaii, surrounded by natural elements in a lush tropical setting that supports rest and healing. You will be steps from the warm ocean waters and are invited to watch the sun rise each morning from her shoreline. Hina Hale was built with your need for deep rest and replenishment in mind. We support unplugging as much as possible, although WiFi is available throughout the property. We encourage you to treat your time at Hina Hale as a respite.

Hina Hale is surrounded by the ancient white sands and rising sun to the east and the protection of the lush mountains to the west. It has long been considered a sacred area of the island because of its location and proximity to the healing blue waters. You will find access to natural outdoor spaces, a soothing waterfall, a private pool, a dedicated treatment room, steam room, nurturing gathering spaces, and small touches that help you feel right at home. Hina Hale is small and intimate, intended to be a reprieve from the modern world. A welcoming sanctuary for the modern traveler.

“Thank you so much for such a healing and relaxing stay. I loved swimming, sitting in all of your peaceful chairs, receiving treatments, and walking to the beach. The home is so thoughtfully designed. From the colors and textures, the placement of seating, fragrance in each room, plants and crystals, you’ve thought of it all!"

Gathering Spaces

Koa Room

The Koa Room is a favorite at Hina Hale and the central gathering space. High ceilings and abundant light fill this space; we use this space for gathering, integration sessions, yoga, and meditation. The space boasts a large library of books on topics relevant to your time at Hina Hale, as well as comfy seating to rest, reflect and relax. You will love the ocean breezes that flow into the Koa room!

Wai Deck

Wai (pronounced with a “V”) is the lounging hub of Hina Hale. A sparkling pool, loungers, and shaded poolside seating areas allow you to relax before and after treatments. The Wai deck will serve as the gathering spot for your three daily meals. Cooking demonstrations will take place in the outdoor kitchen.

Waena Deck

Located outside the Koa room, Waena means the middle, or central point. Comfortable seating, a hanging double swing chair, and ocean breezes make this a restful and peaceful place to grab a book or listen to the sounds of the birds. Gather on the Waena deck for post-treatment afternoon tea.

Lani Deck

Lani, translating to heavenly, is the top sky deck aptly named to take in the fullness of your surroundings in Hawaii. You will experience a panorama of ocean, mountains, and sky that will put it all in perspective. We will use this space, weather permitting, for yoga and meditation. The deck will be open each evening after sunset for star gazing.

“I can honestly say that the retreat exceeded my expectations. The most surprising thing to me was how much positive energy radiated from the physical property and how much that made a difference in my experience. The entire property was accessible, welcoming and comfortable, but it felt to me like each space had its own unique energy to offer to enable and to support growth, learning, healing, rest, nourishment, joy, grief, etc. "
