Retreating is an essential part of life. Taking time to interrupt the patterns of our everyday life can be an essential part of living a balanced life. Now, more than ever. Structured rest allows for you to reharmonize with the natural rhythms of your body. By having structured routines and rhythms to your day, your nervous system will not have to work so hard to regulate itself. Your mind will not have to work so hard to fill in gaps, so it can slow down and take in your surroundings. Your body will not have to work so hard to digest a multitude of foods, so it can focus on efficiently using nutrients and reset elimination patterns back to regularity.
Our programs are structured but are not so rigid as to allow for the dynamic needs of a guest. Because of my background in ayurveda, psychotherapy, yoga and other healing arts, I am able to offer a dynamic toolbox. But more importantly, I listen. I listen for the details that may be overlooked. I have personally been through deep transformative initiations of loss, divorce, grief, confusion, and have experienced the process of reclamation through Ayurveda. I deeply honor an individual's journey. I once had a mentor say, “you can only take someone as far as you have been yourself”. That feels true to me.
